About Starlings Arkitekt

About Construction Supervisor

A construction supervisor ensures that your building project complies with all applicable laws and regulations and monitors quality throughout the construction process. They act as your helping hand in communications with authorities and contractors.

Starlings is certified by RISE (formerly SP) with K-level qualification. This is the highest level and covers complex construction projects.

Since 2006, Starlings has extensive experience in all aspects of the construction process, including roles as building permit officer, project manager, roof truss designer, and construction supervisor. We are well-versed in regulations and provide personalized service to ensure quality and safety throughout your building project.

About Building Permit Drawings

Starlings produces building permit drawings (floor plans, sections, elevations, etc.), site plans, technical documents, and other necessary documents for building permit applications, notifications, and demolition. Feel free to ask us for more information.

It is possible to create a building permit drawing yourself, but it is recommended to hire a professional drafter to ensure all requirements are met and that the drawing is produced correctly.

We start with a free consultation (maximum 50 minutes) to discuss your needs, timeline, potential obstacles, and the scope of my assistance. This is then summarized in a written agreement.

Before the meeting, it is important that you:

  • Have the site/land ready – this determines the project conditions.
  • Have an idea of your timeline – we will discuss this in more detail, as all parts of the construction process often take longer than expected.
  • Have checked the guidelines from your local building committee for your planned project. We can also assist with this contact.
  • Have considered your budget to ensure the project is financially doable.
  • Have a shared understanding of the support you need.

About Project Management and Playground Inspections

Playgrounds should be inspected at least once a year, as well as after major changes or damage, to ensure safety.

Project management is the process of planning, organizing, and supervising all aspects of a construction project to ensure it is carried out efficiently and within budget.

Starlings handles communication with the building committee, environmental authorities, county administrative boards, and other relevant authorities involved in construction, to ensure all necessary approvals are obtained.
